YANGON, Myanmar A 60-year-old woman was killed on the spot while 19 others were injured in a pilgrimage car crash in Myanmar’s Mandalay region, a release from the Home Affairs Ministry said Friday.
The crash occurred in Amarapura township on Thursday morning., reported Xinhua news agency.
The pilgrimage car skidded and turned-turtle in Htonebo-Myitnge road near Sauk Taw Wa village about 9:20am local time.
The injured were sent to the Mandalay General Hospital.
Initial investigations revealed that reckless driving could have been a factor leading to the crash.
