A suspected mine blast on a crowded ferry in Yangon injured 17 passengers over the weekend, many of them seriously, according to the junta’s information group. Nearly 1,700 human-trafficking victims rescued from Lao SEZ since 2007

Lao authorities have rescued more than 1,680 victims of human trafficking from the Chinese-run Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone between its establishment in 2007 and the end of August this year, Radio Free Asia has learned.
