YANGON, Myanmar — Four miners out of 10 are still trapped in Monday’s coal mine blast in Minbu, Myanmar’s central Magway region, according to a release of the Home Ministry Tuesday.
The accident happened after a pipe used for injecting oxygen into the tunnel of the mine exploded.
The blast, which took place at a depth of about 45 to 90 meters of the tunnel of the mine, owned by Han Htet Company, left two dead and four injured.
The injured four have been sent to hospital and rescue operation is underway to save the remaining four trapped miners.
