Phnom Penh: The ‘Business Matching to Promote Cambodian Products in Supermarkets and Marts 2025’ event was held in Phnom Penh on Saturday, focusing on enhancing collaboration between supermarkets, marts, and Cambodian product manufacturers and suppliers.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the event aimed to increase the consumption and visibility of Cambodian products in the domestic market by fostering stronger partnerships between businesses. It featured presentations and experience sharing from four key speakers: representatives from the General Department of Trade Promotion, AEON Mall, Chip Mong Market, and Ample Agro Product Co., Ltd. The discussions covered the development of Cambodian products, procedures, regulations, and requirements for product placement in supermarkets and marts, as well as real-world marketing experiences.
The event showcased a variety of Cambodian products and was presided over by Secretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce, H.E. Seang Thay. He urged Cambodian producers and suppliers to focus on product quality, consumer safety, proper packaging standards, and competitive pricing to thrive in both domestic and international markets.
Additionally, the event provided a platform for Cambodian producers and suppliers to express challenges and submit requests to supermarket and mart owners about including Cambodian products in their distribution systems. This initiative was coordinated by the Ministry of Commerce.
