Cambodia, France Appreciate Bilateral Military Cooperation


The Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) has received French Defence Attaché to Cambodia, Admiral Frederic Daumas, for a courtesy meeting.

H.E. Gen. Vong Pisen met with the visiting French military attaché on July 31 at his office here in Phnom Penh.

He spoke highly of the two countries’ long-standing relationship, underscoring that the tie continues to flourish thanks to the intimate collaboration across all sectors and levels between the two countries.

He also thanked the French side for continuing support and assistance to Cambodia, especially in terms of military capacity building and infrastructure development.

H.E. Gen. Vong Pisen appreciated French warships that docked at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port in 2023 and looked forward to more exchange visits and collaboration.

Admiral Frederic Daumas was impressed by the active role of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces in United Nations peacekeeping missions.

He also pledged to cooperate with Cambodia on demining, exchange vi
sits, and beyond.
