COVID-19 Infections Rise To 142,240 In Myanmar

YANGON The number of COVID-19 infections rose to 142,240 in Myanmar yesterday, according to a release from the Health and Sports Ministry.

Myanmar reported 13 COVID-19 positive cases in the past 24 hours, the release said. The death toll stood at 3,204.

A total of 131,763 recovered patients have been discharged from hospitals so far. The number of samples tested daily decreased to around 1,000 from about 10,000 samples since early Feb.

COVID-19 was first detected in Myanmar on Mar 23, last year.
