YANGON, Myanmar, Myanmar’s Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, announced Tuesday, the cancellation of arrival and departure card system, starting today, Sept 12.
According to the announcement, visitors will no longer need to fill in the arrival or departure cards, at the Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw international airports.
The cancellation aims to promote the country’s tourism sector, as well as, to attract more foreign visitors to the country.
According to the figures of the Hotel and Tourism Ministry, the country attracted over 1.72 million foreign visitors, in the first half of this year, targeting over seven million visitors by 2020.-
