MYANMAR: GOVT PLANS TO ESTABLISH MODERN MOVIE PARK IN CAPITAL CITY

NAY PYI TAW, Myanmar Myanmar’s government plans to set up a park for a movie studio and film schools, as well as a cinema-based entertainment city in Nay Pyi Taw, the Global New Light Of Myanmar reported.

Information Minister Dr Pe Myint said the modern movie park in Nay Pyi Taw would help develop the Myanmar motion picture sector and promote the country’s image in film making and to develop Nay Pyi Taw.

The move is aimed at presenting the traditions and culture of Myanmar through motion pictures, enabling the people of Myanmar to know more about their country and to take pride in their nation and their people.

Dubbed in English, these movies will allow the world to learn about Myanmar and at the same time, the Myanmar motion picture sector, the image of the country and the national brand will develop, said Dr Pe Myint.
