Myanmar Reports 16 New COVID-19 Cases, One More Death

Myanmar recorded 16 more confirmed cases of COVID-19 yesterday, bringing its total tally to 141,601, according to a release from the Ministry of Health.

One more death was reported, bringing the death toll to 3,189, the release said.

According to the ministry’s figures, a total of 130,331 patients have recovered from the pandemic and discharged from hospitals, and over 2.47 million samples have been tested for COVID-19, so far, in the country.

Myanmar reported its first two confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Mar 23, last year.–
