YANGON, Myanmar Myanmar will hold the 55th Gems Emporium in Nay Pyi Taw late June, according to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation on Friday.
Sponsored by the ministry, the annual event will be held from June 20 to 29, putting gems and jade lots on sale.
Licensed and authorized buyers are allowed to attend the event, said an announcement by the Myanmar Emporium Central Committee.
Myanmar held the 54th gems emporium in August last year, selling 690 million U.S. dollars worth of 5,197 gem and jade lots under open tender system. The event was attended by 5,311 local and foreign gem traders.
Myanmar gems emporium has been held annually since 1964.
