{"id":28411,"date":"2022-06-18T05:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-06-18T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/myanmarnewsgazette.com\/?guid=08eea77b0d95cefab97bd76db954aed2"},"modified":"2022-06-18T05:00:00","modified_gmt":"2022-06-18T00:00:00","slug":"over-132000-students-passed-university-entrance-exam-in-myanmar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/myanmarnewsgazette.com\/over-132000-students-passed-university-entrance-exam-in-myanmar\/","title":{"rendered":"Over 132,000 Students Passed University Entrance Exam In Myanmar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><P>YANGON, Jun 18 (NNN-MNA) \u2013 Myanmar\u2019s Ministry of Education announced yesterday that, 132,077 students passed their high school graduation exam for the 2021-2022 academic year.<\/P><P><\/P><P>The country\u2019s matriculation exam pass rate this year was 46.88 percent, up by 14.82 percentage points, from the 2019-2020 academic year, official data showed.<\/P><P><\/P><P>There were 281,751 students sitting for the matriculation exam this year, which was held at local and foreign exam centres in late Mar and early Apr.<\/P><P><\/P><P>In the capital city of Nay Pyi Taw, 7,600 students passed this year\u2019s exam, with a passing rate of 47.18 percent.<\/P><P><\/P><P>Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the country was unable to hold the university entrance exam last year.<\/P><P><\/P><P>In Myanmar, students are set to take the matriculation examination before joining universities.
