32nd SEA Games: Cambodia Remains at Second Place with 155 Medals

Cambodia remains at the second place on the Medal Table for two consecutive days after winning a total of 155 medals – 56 gold, 44 silver and 55 bronze as of May 11 at 09:00 pm.

According to the latest update of the Cambodian SEA Games Organising Committee (CAMSOC), Cambodia sit behind Vietnam which earned a total of 184 medals (57 gold, 56 silver and 71 bronze) and before Thailand with 151 medals (54 gold, 39 silver and 58 bronze).

Indonesia and Singapore were ranked fourth and fifth with 42 gold, 34 silver and 59 bronze medals; and 35 gold, 27 silver and 33 bronze medals, respectively.

The Philippines came in sixth with 27 gold, 51 silver and 65 bronze medals, followed by Malaysia with 25 gold, 32 silver and 50 bronze medals; Myanmar with 14 gold, 13 silver and 38 bronze medals; Laos with 6 gold, 14 silver and 38 bronze medals; Brunei with 1 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals; and Timor-Leste with 2 bronze medals.

A 1,203-strong Cambodian delegation, including 896 athletes, have been taking part in the 32nd SEA Games that the Kingdom is hosting for the first time in 64 years under the motto “Sport: Living in Peace” from May 5 to 17.

Cambodia bagged 63 medals – nine gold, 13 silver and 41 bronze – in the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam in 2022.
