ADB to Continue Supporting Cambodia’s Development Efforts

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has reiterated its commitment to continue supporting the efforts of Cambodia in developing the country.

“The Asian Development Bank is proud to be a strong partner in Cambodia’s development journey. I would like to assure you of our continued and unwavering commitment to supporting Cambodia’s development agenda of inclusive growth and sustainable development,” underlined ADB President Mr. Masatsugu Asakawa in his congratulatory message dated Aug. 22 to H.E. Kitti Tesaphibal Pundit Hun Manet, the new Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The ADB president also expressed his confidence that Cambodia will continue to make remarkable progress under H.E. Kitti Tesaphibal Pundit’s leadership.

“This would take forward the tireless efforts of your father, the outgoing Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen, who served Cambodia with dedication and commitment for long years. I recall with fondness my fruitful meeting with him last year in the margins of the ASEAN Summit in Phnom Penh,” he added.

“My team and I look forward to working closely with your government to advance Cambodia’s socio-economic development and contribute to the overall prosperity of the region,” concluded Mr. Mr. Masatsugu Asakawa.
