APSARA National Authority Organises a Training Course on Site Managers’ Role

A training course on the “Role of site managers” kicked off in Siem Reap province on May 29 to ensure the preservation and protection of the Angkor site.

Conducted by experts from the APSARA National Authority at the Department of Public Order, the three-day training course attracted 60 trainees consisting of officers, staff, and workers.

The training is aimed to enhance their knowledge and skills in effectively managing daily work and implementing measures to prevent inappropriate activities by tourists.

The training course focused on various tasks, including understanding the risk map of the temple, guiding and prohibiting guests from taking inappropriate photos, maintaining order, managing water resources, risk management, tree preservation, and the responsibilities of site managers.

Another objective of the course is to equip the trainees with the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure the preservation and protection of the Angkor site.
