Australia’s Frigate Pays a Three-day Visit to Cambodia

“HMAS Perth-FFH 157 (Anzac Class FFH),” a frigate of the Royal Australian Navy, docked at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port (PAS) in Cambodia’s Preah Sihanouk province this morning, for a three-day visit (Sept. 2-4).

The ship was welcomed upon arrival at PAS by Admiral Mean Savoeun, Deputy Chief of Staff of Ream Naval Base, accompanied by many other senior Cambodian Royal Navy officers.

The visit aims to further promote the ties of friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between the two countries, especially between their navies.

Led by Commander Ben Dalton, HMAS Perth-FFH 157 (Anzac Class FFH) is 118 metres long, 14.8 metres wide, and 6.4 metres deep.

It weighs 3,900 metric tonnes and can run at 32 knots of speed (one knot equals to 1.852 kilometre per hour).
