Cambodia, China Foster Civil Service Cooperation


The Kingdom of Cambodia and the People’s Republic of China have discussed further cooperation, focusing mainly on civil service.

The discussion took place in Phnom Penh on July 24 between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Civil Service H.E. Hun Many and H.E. Wang Wenbin, newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia.

Both sides lauded the good relations and cooperation between Cambodia and China within the framework of the party and party, government and government, and people and people built on their long-standing historical friendship and honesty.

H.E. Hun Many noted with satisfaction the achievements and cooperation with China through the Chinese Embassy on information and communication technology (ICT) development project, especially between the Cambodian Ministry of Civil Service and the China National Civil Service Administration (NCSA) on capacity development of civil servants, including the organisation of visits, seminars and training courses to exchange experiences.

The two sides also discussed the strengthening and expansion of cooperation between youth and youth, reflecting the important role of the youth of both countries in continuing to maintain and boost the Cambodia-China relations toward the establishment of a community of common destiny.
