The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of Cuba have agreed to further strengthen and broaden their cooperation, mainly in the field of information.

The agreement was made during a courtesy meeting between Cambodian Minister of Information H.E. Neth Pheaktra and newly appointed Cuban Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Ms. Milena Caridad Zaldivar Piedra, at the ministry here this morning.

On the occasion, both sides spoke highly of the long-standing ties of friendship and cooperation between the two nations, and stressed the need to deepen their collaboration, especially between their news agencies – Agence Kampuchea Presse (AKP) of Cambodia and Prensa Latina (PL) of Cuba – in order to defend their bilateral relations as well as their respective countries’ interests.

Besides, H.E. Minister and H.E. Ambassador were committed to expanding the cooperation on information sector between Cambodia and Cuba beyond the information exchange between AKP and PL, for example through the exchange of visits between both countr
