Cambodia, Loa PDR Senior Military Officials Discuss Military Cooperation


General Vong Pisen, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF), has received General Khamliang Outhakaysone, Deputy Minister of National Defence and Chief of the General Staff of the Lao People’s Army, for a military cooperation discussion.

The two senior military officials met on July 30 at the headquarters of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces here in Phnom Penh.

General Vong Pisen warmly welcomed General Khamliang Outhakaysone and reaffirmed Cambodia’s strong commitment to friendship and military cooperation with the Lao People’s Democratic Republic for the mutual benefit of the two countries and peoples.

He also appreciated and looked forward to closer collaboration with the Lao PDR in preventing cross-border crimes, especially terrorism and human and drug trafficking, and in responding to disasters.

General Khamliang Outhakaysone expressed his appreciation of the RCAF’s hospitality and highlighted fruitful cooperation on border demarcation, exchange of military visits, and joint dis
aster responses.
