Cambodia Notes More Potential for Cooperation Expansion with Singapore

Cambodia and Singapore still have more room for cooperation for their bilateral benefit, focusing on key potential areas including vocational training, education, energy security, environmental protection, regional peacekeeping and regional prosperity.

Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, made the remarks while meeting in Singapore this afternoon with Senior Minister H.E. Lee Hsien Loong, former Prime Minister of Singapore, as part of his two-day official visit to the country.

The Cambodian Premier thanked the Government and people of Singapore for the warm hospitality. He also spoke highly of Singapore’s important role in contributing to the socio-economic development of Cambodia.

For his part, H.E. Lee Hsien Loong welcomed the first official visit to Singapore by Samdech Thipadei as the Prime Minister of Cambodia, and highly appreciated the fruitful results of the working meetings between Samdech Thipadei and H.E. President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and H.E. Pri
me Minister Lawrence Wong on June 18.

H.E. Lee Hsien Loong also conveyed his congratulations to Her Majesty the Queen-Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk on her 88th Birthday and his greetings to Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate and former Prime Minister of Cambodia, hoping that he will pay a visit to Singapore in the near future.
