Cambodia, Rwanda to Promote Their Partnership


Cambodia and Rwanda have vowed to further promote their partnership as well as mutual support in the international arenas for their mutual benefits.

H.E. SOK Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and H.E. NKUBITO Manzi Bakuramutsa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Rwanda to the Kingdom of Cambodia with Residence in Seoul, emphasised the commitment during their courtesy meeting here on Mar. 13.

According to a news release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. the Deputy Prime Minister and H.E. the Ambassador noted with satisfaction the friendship and good cooperation between Cambodia and Rwanda since the two countries established diplomatic relations on Sept. 29, 2005.

H.E. SOK Chenda Sophea expressed strong hope that during H.E. Nkubito Manzi Bakuramutsa’s tenure as Ambassador to Cambodia, he will continue to deepen and strengthen the ties of friendship between the two countries.

Both sides also considered setting up a political consultation mechanism between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs which will be serving as a platform in exploring ways and means to foster cooperation between both nations.
