Cambodian PM Meets the President of Chamber of Commerce of Montreal

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet received at the Peace Palace here this morning Mr. Kelvin K. Mo, President of Chamber of Commerce of Montreal, Canada.

In his courtesy meeting, Mr. Kelvin K. Mo said when Cambodia host the 20th Francophone Summit in 2026, the Kingdom of Cambodia is expected to attract more investors and tourists from French-speaking countries.

Mr. Kelvin K. Mo also took his highly noted on the rapid developments of the Kingdom and said his current visit this time is to learn more about the investment potential and opportunities here, especially to find the connection link between Cambodian and Canadian investors.

In response, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed his warm welcome to the delegation of Chamber of Commerce of Montreal and congratulated Mr. Kelvin Mo on his election as Head of the Office of the Representative of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce in Montreal, Canada.

Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister pointed out that overseas representative offices
of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce have been established in some countries, such as the United States, Australia, Japan, and currently being expanded in France and the European Union is aimed at establishing links and facilitation in the fields of trade and investment between Cambodia and other countries, as well as people-to-people relations, and the representative office of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce in Montreal has acted as a bridge between the peoples of the two countries, as well as investors.

The Cambodian premier strongly hoped that the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce in Montreal would play more active role to expand the potential for investment and trade opportunities between the two countries, and proposed the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce in Montreal to fulfill two priority tasks: to promote Cambodia’s potential for trade, tourism and investment opportunities in Cambodia, and to support the Royal Government of Cambodia’s initiative to promote trade between Cambodia-Canada as well as acting a
s a facilitator in trade negotiations and export of Cambodian products to Canada.
