The 7th-mandate Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) has gained 82 percent of its fellow citizens’ trust in the first five months of office, which not only ensures the stability of its popularity, but also increases people’ more trust, said a foreign survey.
The figure was shared here this morning by H.E. Neth Pheaktra, Minister of Information, in a meeting with the ministry’s leadership to update them on the progress of the new RGC as well as to review the ministry’s achievements and set forth new goals.
H.E. Neth Pheaktra added that the figure saw a five-percent rise from 77 percent in the previous RGC in May 2023, adding that such increase could not happen by chance, but thanks to the right path of Pentagonal Strategy of the 7th-mandate RGC.
According to the minister, the opposition group falsely previewed that the 7th-mandate RGC, launched in late August 2023, could not lead the country, and then lost her popularity, and could not stand with global economic crisis and issues caused by the COVID-19 pande
mic, together with other social problems.
On the occasion, H.E. Neth Pheaktra, in addition to summarising the progress and development of the 7th-mandate RGC, further briefed the meeting about the ministry’s progress based on short-term, medium-term and long-term strategies with a need to strengthen institutions and build modern administration, reinforce legal framework and professional responsibility, develop human resources and vocational training, demand an information space management system and mechanism, and increase inclusive and efficient partnership.
