The Ministry of Women’s Affairs has convened a workshop on “Understanding Inclusive Financial and Digital Enhancement” under a project of “Expansion of Opportunities for Rural Women in the Financial and Digital Sector.”

The hybrid workshop took place on Dec. 21 under the presidency of H.E. Mrs. Ing Kantha Phavi, Minister of Women’s Affairs.

The workshop is intended to disseminate and raise awareness of financial and digital sectors for women in rural areas, especially for those who are in making-decision classes to build their policy development and programme support capacity in response to and reserving the demands of women in rural areas so as to improve rural women’s living conditions.

It also covers challenges, opportunities, and solutions implicated in financial and digital knowledge.

Supported by the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) and VISA, the workshop attracted the participation of leaders and officials of the Prey Veng and Svay Rieng Provincial Departments of Women’s Affairs, as well as represe
ntatives from concerned institutions, development partners, and the private sector.
