Journalists Seeking Understanding on Preah Sihanouk’s Development

More than 30 journalists from 19 media outlets in Cambodia have been visiting Preah Sihanouk province from April 25 to 27 to seek understanding on the province’s potential sectors.

The media visit, led by Mr. Puy Kea, President of the Club of Cambodian Journalists (CCJ), is supported by the Ministry of Tourism and the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Administration.

During their three-day stay in the coastal province, journalists have been arranged to visit the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port and the Wastewater Treatment Plant on the first day.

On the second day, they attended press conferences at Koh Krabei, Koh Rong, Prek Kaong Kang where H.E Dr. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism and H.E. Kuoch Chamroeun, Governor of Preah Sihanouk province, updated them on the potential tourism sector and latest developments in the sector.

The last day, led by H.E. Long Dimanche, Deputy Governor of Preah Sihanouk province, the journalists are scheduled to visit Koh Ream and Koh Sampoch.

The media visit is aimed to promote the potential of Preah Sihanouk province and attract more tourists and investors through the media lens.
