KLIBW RETURNS FOR SECOND YEAR ON NOV 18-19 AT MVEC

KUALA LUMPUR, Kuala Lumpur International Beauty Week (KLIBW) is set to return for its second year with LazBeauty by Lazada as the official partner, promising a spectacular and immersive experience for beauty enthusiasts.

In a statement today, Lazada said the event is scheduled to take place on Nov 18 and 19 at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre (MVEC).

Established in 2019, the mission of KLIBW goes beyond being just an ordinary convention; as it aims to serve as a gateway to a vibrant community of beauty experts and enthusiasts, all gathered together to discover and share the latest trends, tips and innovations within the beauty industry.

“KLIBW 2023 will be featuring a lineup of over 150 homegrown and international beauty brands accessible under one roof,” it said.

KLIBW also dialled up the excitement with an O2O engagement powered by Lazada, Southeast Asia’s pioneer eCommerce platform and the preferred online shopping destination for beauty enthusiasts.

Lazada is elevating ‘LazBeauty’, its ingenious online channel for all things beauty, featuring trending cosmetics, and skincare products, alongside exciting features on the Lazada app, such as My Beauty Profile, Virtual Try-On, Try and Buy, Skin Test Technology – a skin analysis powered by the latest artificial intelligence (AI) technology and augmented reality skin analyser tool, as well as discoveries, ideas and top picks to boost confidence in owning your unique beauty and style.

According to the statement, those who have signed up to be a LazBeauty Club member via the Lazada app and make a purchase via the LazBeauty Channel will get to savour an offline-to-online experience, as they can enjoy fast lane access, delightful gifts, benefits and exclusive pouches with wonderful samples from various beauty brands.

One of the primary highlights of the event is ‘The Beauty Stage’ where attendees can participate in various engaging activities, including a question-and-answer session with Marion Caunter, where she will share the secrets to achieving healthy and shiny locks and also a meet-and-greet session with Amber Chia for her beauty brand Shero Global.

Additionally, participants can discover innovative makeup techniques with the renowned Indonesian brand Artisan Professionel, learn the art of perfect brows from Sarra Brows and follow makeup tutorials led by ALLIE and Kate Tokyo.

For those looking to enhance their skincare knowledge, there will be discussions on the best practices for maintaining radiant skin from RC Clinic. Daily lucky draw giveaways will also allow attendees to win premium beauty products.

‘The Beauty Lounge’ is another aspect of the event, where attendees can take a break, enjoy refreshments at the food and beverages booths, witness beauty product launches and meet with celebrities and influencers.

This relaxed setting will also have live interview sessions and product demonstrations with industry experts.

The statement said those looking to capture the perfect Instagram moment, KLIBW has also arranged four Instagram-worthy photo booths throughout the venue.

The first 400 visitors on both days will receive a Beauty Passport, enabling them to visit over 40 participating Beauty Booths to collect samples and try out the latest products. Accumulating six stamps on the Passport will qualify attendees for a chance to win exciting prizes at the claw machine.

Attendees can collect stamps on their Beauty Passport and share their photos using the hashtags #KLIBW and #KLBeautyWeek, tagging @klbeauty.

Moreover, KLIBW will be giving away 300 Beauty Goodie Bags daily. For updates on the time slots for these giveaways, attendees are encouraged to follow KLIBW on Instagram and TikTok.

Another highlight of KLIBW is the makeup contest, which serves as a platform for up-and-coming makeup artists to showcase their talent. The top three winners, selected through a competitive process, will receive cash prizes, trophies and beauty hampers.

Tickets for the KLIBW are available for free admission. However, attendees are encouraged to pre-register for access to avoid long queues via Eventbrite. Walk-ins are also welcome, with registration counters available on-site.

Exclusive fast-track access to the KLIBW is available for members of LazBeauty Club. Attendees need only show their LazBeauty Club membership via the Lazada app to enjoy the fast-track entry.
