KULAI MP OFFICE, FOUR CHINESE SCHOOLS BROKEN INTO

Kulai Member of Parliament’s (MP) Office and four national-type Chinese schools (SJKC) in the district were reported to have been broken into recently.

Kulai MP Teo Nie Ching, who is also Deputy Communications Minister, confirmed the matter today, saying that the break-in at the office occurred two weeks ago and that a police report had also been lodged.

‘Yes, there were break-in incidents, including at our office…the losses are estimated to reach thousands of ringgit as among the items reported lost are tablets and mobile phones. We also need to replace the CCTV (close circuit television) cameras.’

Teo said this after visiting the telecommunication towers at Kampung Murni Jaya 2 and Kampung Tersusun Murni Jaya here today.

‘I leave it to the police to investigate. I’m confident that they will do their best and take swift action to identify the culprits. The sooner the better,’ she said.

Meanwhile, Kulai Police chef Supt Tan Seng Lee confirmed receiving the report on the break-in incident at the Kulai
MP Office on July 9, saying that the case is being investigated under Section 451 of the Penal Code.
