Kyrgyzstan boosts exports of oil products to China in 4M2024


BISHKEK: Kyrgyzstan exported 4,175 tons of oil products to China from January through April this year, which is 76 percent more than the 2,372 tons exported during the same months in 2023, Trend reports.

According to Kyrgyzstan’s State Statistical Committee, the value of these exports reached $4.141 million, an increase of 58.4 percent over the $2.614 million recorded in January-April 2023.

During the reporting period, Kyrgyzstan sold abroad a total of 67,781 tons of oil products worth $43.222 million. The value of these exports increased by 52.4 percent compared to $28.362 million in the same period of 2023, and the volume rose by 74.3 percent compared to 38,884 tons in January-April 2023.

The majority of oil products from Kyrgyzstan were sent to Trkiye (37,404 tons for $23.627 million), followed by Uzbekistan, which received 17,641 tons worth $5.055 million.

Overall, Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade turnover reached $5.171 billion from January through April 2024, which is a 27.7 percent increase compared to t
he same period in 2023 ($4.051 billion).

Exports amounted to $760.6 million, which is an increase of 19.7 percent compared to the $635.678 million recorded in January-April 2023. Imports grew by 29.2 percent compared to $3.415 billion in the same period in 2023, reaching $4.411 billion from January through April 2024.
