The Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) is improving its social media and website content to further disseminate information about zakat (tithe) and the obligation to perform it.

LZS Dakwah and Syariah Division head Salehuddin Abu Samah said that since the beginning of this year, the board had established a dakwah digital unit to ensure that every content shared on any platform to the public was appropriate and accurate in accordance with the requirements of Syariah.

“Social media apps like TikTok are now popular among young people, and we see this platform as suitable for sharing knowledge about zakat,” he told reporters after the launching of the Muzakarah Zakat Nusantara 2023 discourse here today.
