NA President: Cambodia-China Relations, a Model of New Type of International Relations

Cambodia-China relationship is a model of a new type of international relations based on the principles of honesty, equality, mutual respect, value and tolerance.

The remarks were made by Cambodian National Assembly (NA) President, Samdech Moha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, while receiving here at the NA Palace this morning a farewell visit from H.E. Wang Wentian, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, at the end of his diplomatic mission in Cambodia.

Samdech Khuon Sudary spoke highly of the significant contribution of H.E. Wang Wentian to deepening and expanding bilateral relations and cooperation, bringing great benefits to both peoples and countries.

She expressed her pride of the growing and strong Cambodian-Chinese friendship, in which many achievements were reflected during the diplomatic term of H.E. Wang Wentian, especially the signing of a memorandum of understanding on a unanimous agreement to build a China-Cambodia Community of Common Destiny in the new era with high quality, hig
h level and high standards in 2019.

For his part, H.E. Wang Wentian appreciated Cambodia’s progress and achievements, pledging to continue to support the Kingdom’s development in various ways despite the end of his diplomatic mission.

The outgoing ambassador thanked Samdech Khuon Sudary as well as the Cambodian NA for their support and good cooperation with the Chinese Embassy in Phnom Penh, making his nearly-six-year diplomatic mission a success.

On the occasion, Samdech Khuon Sudary presented a high decoration of the Kingdom of Cambodia to H.E. Wang Wentian in recognition of his effort in enhancing the relations and cooperation between the two countries.
