NADI IS A COMMUNITY HUB FOR ACCESSING INFORMATION AND GETTING HELP WITH HOMEWORK

IPOH, The National Information Dissemination Centre (NADI) has become a local community hub where people can engage in various activities, including accessing information and getting help with homework.

Sekolah Menengah Anderson student, Ahmad Haziq Ilhami Masri, 15, said he spends about six hours a day at NADI to complete his homework and assignments during weekends.

The second of four siblings, Ahmad said the centre is very useful and convenient for him and the community, as it offers interesting programmes such as tuition classes, communal activities, and skill-building workshops like photo editing.

“Sometimes, NADI also serves as a place for my friends and me to de-stress from studies. We sing, work on editing projects, and recently created posters and acting scripts that required internet research.”

“My siblings, aged 17 to 8, also frequently visit NADI to use the internet and other facilities,” he told Bernama at NADI Kampung Dato Ahmad Said Tambahan 2 today.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahi
m launched the NADI earlier today, with Minister of Communications Fahmi Fadzil in attendance.

Meanwhile, housewife Shahrol Bariah Isa, 50, said the centre provides numerous facilities and opportunities for the B40 community in the area.

“There are many benefits we receive from this internet centre, including computers and printers for our children’s school work. Nowadays, many government forms need to be filled out online, so internet access is essential.

“I hope there will be more facilities later, especially for sharing accurate and timely information,” she said.

Manager of NADI Kampung Dato Ahmad Said Tambahan 2, Nural’ain Mohammed Nasib, stated that the new NADI aims to provide more facilities and be closer to the community.

“This internet centre helps us connect with the community. We can teach them skills such as how to prepare paperwork, and also assist with filling out the Main Database System (PADU).

“We share information about PADU on social media with the local community, inviting them to th
e centre and assisting them in entering their information into the system,” she said.
