National Police Announces to Oppose Any Incitement Aiming to Compromise National Peace

The General Commissariat of the National Police has expressed its strong commitment and affirmed its categorical stance against any attempt to overthrow the legitimate government.

Recently, a small number of unconscionable extremists based abroad have persisted in their activities and have employed all of their tactics to incite unrest and instigate the people and armed forces to take rebellious action against the Royal Government, said a statement of the General Commissariat of the National Police released on Sunday, adding that their goal is to cause insecurity, social instability, disintegration of national unity, and destruction of the country’s welfare and prosperity. It attempts to overthrow the legitimate Royal Government while Cambodia is at peace and advancing in all aspects.

With unwavering loyalty, the General Commissariat of the National Police is committed to respecting and implementing the order by the Head of the Royal Government, strengthening solidarity and fostering strong internal unity
to safeguard the legitimate Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia, led by Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister, which has garnered overwhelming support through the election, said the statement.

The General Commissariat of the National Police also vows to maintain an unwavering commitment to the protection and preservation of peace, national security, social stability, and public order in all situations. ‘We steadfastly oppose any incitement that aims to compromise national interests, peace, and other subversive actions. We are committed to making sacrifices in order to safeguard the legitimate Royal Government and implement stringent measures to prevent and suppress all such treacherous acts without exception, at any cost,’ the statement underlined.

‘The General Commissariat of the National Police strives to strengthen the efficiency of commanding the National Police Force at all levels, the municipal and provincial police commissioners, the district, Krong, and Khan police inspectors, and
all administrative police posts to ensure the proper and stringent management of forces under their supervision in the spirit of high responsibility,’ the statement added. ‘Furthermore, we must fortify internal solidarity and discipline and promptly implement measures to prevent, deter, and suppress any activities initiated by the extremist opposing group.’
