PM Calls on More Singaporean Investors to Do Business in Cambodia


Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet has called on more Singaporean investors to invest in Cambodia.

Addressing the opening ceremony of Cambodia-Singapore Business Forum held in Singapore this morning, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet said Cambodia is one of the most attractive investment destinations in the region with the strong royal government’s support, as well as young and dynamic labour force.

The Premier expressed his hope that Cambodia and Singapore will work together to promote business and investment and build more prosperous future for the two nations.

‘The 7th-mandate Royal Government has continued to attract foreign investors in general and Singaporean investors in particular through the organisation of business forums to promote the Kingdom’s investment potential, as well as mechanisms to encourage investors [to invest in Cambodia], including the new Cambodian investment law,’ he underlined.

Singapore is an important trade and investment partner of Cambodia and is always amo
ng the top 10 biggest investment sources in the Kingdom, said Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister, adding that Singapore investment has significantly contributed to the growth in many areas in Cambodia such as manufacturing, real estate and hospitality.

The Cambodia-Singapore Business Forum attracted a total of 481 representatives from 348 companies.
