PM Conducts Inspection Visit of Drainage and Flood Prevention System Project in Phnom Penh


Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet this morning paid a field visit to the construction site of drainage and flood prevention system project in Phnom Penh and satellite areas.

During the visit, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet met and talked with construction workers and some people living along the project area.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet delivered a short speech saying that this is a big project that will provide a lot of benefits to the people despite some challenges.

According to the Ministry of Water Resource and Meteorology, the project, which kicked off in December 2023, has now achieved at 76 percent and is expected to complete in August 2024 for phases 1 and 2.

The project includes the restoration of ten canals with a total length of 260 kilometres, the construction of four pumping stations equipped with 27 pumping machines, and so on.
