PM: The Twin Flyovers to Contribute to Connecting Cambodia to the World


Once the construction is completed, the twin flyovers will become a strategic infrastructure contributing to connecting Cambodia to the world.

The remarks were made by Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, while presiding over here this morning the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of twin flyovers at the intersection between Samdech Techo Hun Sen Blvd. and the National Road No. 2, at the border between Phnom Penh capital and Kandal province.

‘The construction of the twin flyovers at the intersection of Samdech Techo Hun Sen Blvd. and the National Road 2 is to avoid congestion on the spot and they will become strategic twin flyovers to connect Cambodia to the international community through the connection from Techo International Airport to Phnom Penh capital,’ the Premier said in his speech on the occasion.

This is a project of the Royal Government of Cambodia through the Phnom Penh capital administration. The construction of the 622-metre-long twin flyovers is ex
pected to take 12 months to complete at an estimated cost of more than US$16 million.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet added that the gap between Phnom Penh and the provinces is gradually narrowed thanks to the construction of various infrastructure.
