Preah Sihanouk To Host International Half Marathon 2023

The National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) will organise the Sihanoukville International Half Marathon 2023 on April 2 at O’ Chheuteal Beach in Preah Sihanouk province under the theme “Run for protecting the nature, saving our globe and the well-being of mankind!”

The news was shared by H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of NOCC and the Cambodian SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games Committees (CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC) in a press conference in Phnom Penh recently.

The event also aims to congratulate the Cambodia’s hosting role of the 32nd SEA Games and the 12th ASEAN Para Games in May and June respectively.

It will help promote tourism, green environment, and beautiful beaches in Preah Sihanouk as well as to mobilise fund for charity work, said H.E. Vath Chamroeun.

The Sihanoukville International Half Marathon 2023, the 8th of its kind, will be a mechanism to attract more national and international tourists and to develop Cambodia’s sports.

To date, approximately 1,000 runners have registered for the tournament, and of them 100 are foreign runners from 24 countries, mainly China, Malaysia, and Thailand.

There will be four races including 21, 10, 5 and 3 kilometre running.
