Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN Sen, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia, sent a message of congratulations to his French counterpart H.E. Gérard LARCHER on the occasion of the French National Day.

‘On behalf of all Cambodians and on my own behalf, I am very pleased to extend to you warm congratulations on the occasion of the French National Day of July 14, 2024,’ he wrote in his congratulatory message.

The celebration of French national unity resonates strongly in the hearts of Cambodians who found decisive support in Paris in 1991 to embark on the path to their own national reconciliation, he added.

‘I have an excellent memory of having shared with you, Mr. President, the presidential platform of the glorious parade of July 14, 2009 in Paris,’ recalled Samdech Techo Hun Sen, expressing satisfaction with the cooperation between our two Senates and wishing France as well as the French Senate greater success.
