GEORGE TOWN, A power outage at the PPH Pump House in Persiaran Kelicap, Bayan Lepas near here has caused an unexpected water supply disruption in several areas there today.

Penang Water Supply Corporation (PBAPP), in a Facebook update, informed that the disruption has resulted in affected areas experiencing either no water or low water pressure.

“The areas affected are Persiaran Kelicap, Lengkok Kelicap, and Persiaran Nuri. PBAPP and TNB teams are currently on-site to resolve the issue.

“The water supply disruption in these areas started from 3.30 pm and is expected to last until 11 pm,” the update said.

PBAPP apologised for any inconvenience caused and assured that updates on the disruption will be provided periodically.
