WORLD’S LARGEST ENCYCLOPEDIA OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD’S BIOGRAPHY AMONG ATTRACTIONS AT MELAKA EXPO

The exhibition of the world’s largest book, the Encyclopedia of the Prophet’s Biography – ‘Inilah Muhammad’ – which measures five metres wide and 8.05 metres high and has been awarded a Guinness World Record, is one of the main attractions at the Quran and Art Products Expo held at the Replica of the Cheng Ho Ship at Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC) Ayer Keroh here.

Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh said that the state government fully supports the organisation of such Quran expos to enhance the dignity of Islam and the development of a prosperous ummah (Muslim community).

“The principle of upholding religion plays a significant role, especially for the younger generation, to always hold firm faith to the Quran when facing crises.

“I believe that efforts like organising this programme can also instil positive values and balance the needs of Melaka residents who desire programmes that can revive and feed the soul,” he said while officiating the expo last night.

Also present were Stat
e Women’s Development, Family and Community Committee chairman Datuk Kalsom Nordin and Yayasan Restu executive chairman, Datuk Abdul Latiff Mirasa.

Commenting further, Ab Rauf said the state government is also pleased that Yayasan Restu has set up a branch in Melaka for the southern region.

He added that this indirectly contributes to the development of Islam, alongside initiatives to glorify the Holy Book and spread it widely to the entire community, particularly in Melaka.

At the expo, which runs for 10 days until July 14, 10,000 copies of books published by Yayasan Restu are available to visitors with a 20 per cent discount.
