President Yoon Suk Yeol on Wednesday delivered a congratulatory message in observance of Buddha’s birthday, saying he will do all he can do to make a “warm and happy society.”

“Embracing the great teachings of Buddha, I will make all-out efforts, together with the government, to deeply care for our neighbors in hardship and make a warm and happy society,” Yoon said in a congratulatory message to the Buddhist community.

Yoon congratulated on the arrival of Buddha in the year of 2568 in the Buddhist calendar and wished for “Buddha’s mercy and enlightenment to fill the entire world.”
