KB Financial Group Inc. on Tuesday reported its second-quarter net income of 1.71 trillion won (US$1.2 billion), up 13.7 percent from a year earlier.KB Financial said in a regulatory filing that operating income for the April-June period rose 12.2 percent on-year to 2.3 trillion won. Sales increased 25.3 percent to 19.91 trillion won.The earnings beat market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 1.48 trillion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.Source: Yonhap News Agency
