KUALA LUMPUR: SIRIM Bhd has won five gold and a silver medal at the recently concluded International Exhibition, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX) 2024.

SIRIM said in a statement that the achievement show its commitment to technology excellence and innovation, as the corporation celebrated the gold medal wins by its five projects – Natural Post-Biotic Immune Booster Composition for Health Supplement and Well-Being, System and Method to Generate and Verify Digital Signatures, Asbestos free brake friction material for light rail transit application, Biotesto (Bakau Kurap) as a Natural Aphrodisiac Remedy to Restore Male Sexual Function and General Well-Being, and Pilot Manufacturing Process of Producing Local Material Based Current Collector for Rail Applications.

SIRIM’s Skin Hydration Products from Roselle Seeds and Sintok Extracts project won the silver medal.

The ITEX 2024, the exhibition’s 35th edition, was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from May 16 to 17, and showcased 700 inventio
ns, technologies and products by inventors from over 15 countries.
